Job summary

ProCare Nursing Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a Domiciliary Care Worker to provide compassionate home-based care and support within service users' homes and care settings.

The role focuses on preserving independence, dignity and privacy, with full training provided and DBS disclosure required. Driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred, and experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Care for service users in home setting as per care plan.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy in line with policy.
• Willingness to work towards a QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (training provided).
• An enhanced DBS disclosure (required for successful applicants).
• Preferably a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out personal care and supporting social activities and individual social networks, as set out in each service user's plan of care.
• Encouraging service users to undertake tasks themselves wherever possible.
• Keeping accurate, detailed records while maintaining privacy in line with confidentiality policy.
• Liaising with relatives, GPs and other health professionals to promote good communication and high-quality care.
• Contributing to care plan updates and taking part in reviews and reassessments of service users' needs.
• Supporting individuality, dignity and freedom of choice at all times.
