Job summary

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a domestic cleaner to join the domestic team at Westend. The role runs Monday to Friday, 6.30-8.30am, delivering a full cleaning service across Trust buildings to keep environments hygienic for patients, staff and visitors.

The post requires enthusiasm, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a team or independently. We welcome applicants with cleaning experience and a commitment to high standards; Disclosure (DBS) checks

Qualifications

• 2 GCSEs/O levels English and Maths or demonstrable experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH.
• Understanding of current Food Safety Legislation.
• Understanding of health promotion through healthy eating.

Job description

A vacancy has arisen for a domestic to join our domestic team at Westend within the Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for staff members who are enthusiastic, motivated and have good interpersonal and communication skills to work as part of our teams.

The post holder will work across all Trust buildings to assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for patients, trust staff, and visitors in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness, by delivering a full cleaning service within the centre.

The post available is Monday to Friday 6.30-8.30am

Main duties of the job

Domestics will undertake the following cleaning tasks and duties during a domestic clean:

• High and low-level dusting.
• Cleaningof offices and communal spaces.
• Dusting and polishing of shelves, picture frames, units etc.

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications and Knowledge

• 2 GCSEs/O levels English and Maths or demonstrable experience

• Previous working experience with HACCP and COSHH
• Working knowledge of keeping track of cleaning materials
• Previous experience of cleaning
• Previous experience working Mental Health / Community Services or similar environment

• Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems.
