Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a motivated Domestic Supervisor to oversee a large team at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Responsibilities include coordinating staff rotas and ensuring compliance with healthcare cleanliness standards. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, flexibility in working hours, and team management capabilities. Experience in a healthcare setting and proficiency in Microsoft Office are beneficial. This is a part-time role, 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Job description

Liverpool University Hospitals are seeking to recruit a Domestic Supervisor for the Royal Liverpool Hospital site.

The Domestic team at LUHFT is a team that makes a difference, and we are looking for passionate, highly motivated and organised people to join our busy team.

Responsibilities
  • Rota coordination for a team of 300 staff, planning, coordinating and optimising staff rosters to meet operational requirements, compliance standards and the department’s needs.
  • Ensure seamless coordination of substantive and temporary staff.
  • Work closely with managers in Estates and Facilities and the wider Trust to deliver cleaning services in line with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025 and the Trust’s required standards.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience within a healthcare environment is beneficial.
  • Flexibility for occasional late finishes, weekends and bank‑holiday working.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Hours

25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 15:00.
