Salary Scale: £28,011 - £30,230 per annum pro rata

Role Details
  • Position: Domestic Supervisor
  • Banding: 3
  • Roster: Monday – Friday (weekends as required) and Monday – Sunday. There may be a requirement for you to work Public Holidays (e.g. Christmas/New Year) which will be allocated in advance by your Line Manager.
  • Contracted Hours: 23.5

Domestic Services Department are recruiting for Domestic Supervisors to undertake supervisory responsibilities across Dundee locality in order to deliver the service to the highest standard of cleanliness within the healthcare setting.

Domestic Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day organisation of Domestic Assistants across the site(s) and provision of cleaning services. To monitor and maintain standards of cleanliness within resource allocation and based on national recommendations such as the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification.

Responsibilities and Abilities

You must have the ability to:

  • Work as part of a team or on your own initiative. This may include lone working
  • Experience in customer services
  • Possess good verbal / written communication skills as well as listen and communicate information effectively
  • Respond constructively to unpredictable situations and be able to cope under pressure
  • Good PC skills in order to undertake online based tasks and ability to train staff members on mandatory online based training
  • Have awareness of H&S and Infection Control issues associated with the role
  • Carry out tasks in a methodical manner
  • Cleaning skills
  • Follow instruction from relevant management teams and implement
  • Organised work methods
  • Carry out mandatory training, both online and face to face
  • Have a professional approach
  • Understand the importance of maintaining and observing confidentiality

All Domestic Supervisors are required to work throughout NHS Tayside at various sites/areas should there be a requirement to do so. Postholder must have ability to travel.
