Job summary

Your Recruitment Coach is recruiting for an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer to join a growing, family-run business based in Wimbledon. The role covers boiler servicing, fault finding, installing boilers/heating systems and completing gas safety certificates across Greater London.

The position is permanent, full-time with a company van, fuel card, annual bonus and private healthcare. Salary ranges £40,000–£45,000 plus annual bonus, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registration (domestic competencies)
• Level 2 Plumbing qualification or higher
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Gas Engineer
• Strong experience servicing, repairing and fault finding domestic boilers
• Good knowledge of domestic heating systems
• Previous plumbing maintenance experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to produce accurate, detailed job reports
• Professional and presentable on customer visits
• Flexibility around working hours
• Recent employer references considered advantageous

Responsibilities

• Boiler servicing, diagnostics, fault finding and repairs.
• Installing domestic boilers and heating systems.
• Completing gas safety inspections and certificates.
• Installing and repairing underfloor heating systems.
• Installing heating and smart heating controls.
• Installing and maintaining radiators, valves and related equipment.
• Diagnosing faults across domestic heating systems.
• General plumbing maintenance when required.
• Repairing leaks to toilets, basins and sinks.
• Attending emergency gas and water leaks.
• Producing detailed job reports to support quotations and invoicing.
• Communicating professionally with customers on site.
• Identifying additional work when appropriate.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Your Recruitment Coach is recruiting for an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer to join a growing, family-run business based in Wimbledon.

Operating for over 10 years, our client provides a range of gas, heating, plumbing, electrical and drainage services across Greater London, with the majority of work covering West, South and South East London.

This is a permanent, salaried position offering a company van, fuel card, annual bonus and private healthcare.

The Role

As a Domestic Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Boiler servicing, diagnostics, fault finding and repairs.
• Installing domestic boilers and heating systems.
• Completing gas safety inspections and certificates.
• Installing and repairing underfloor heating systems.
• Installing heating and smart heating controls.
• Installing and maintaining radiators, motorised valves and associated heating equipment.
• Diagnosing faults across domestic heating systems.
• Completing general plumbing maintenance when required.
• Repairing leaks to toilets, basins, sinks, urinals and associated plumbing.
• Attending emergency gas and water leaks.
• Producing detailed job reports to support quotations and invoicing.
• Communicating professionally with customers while on site.
• Identifying additional work where appropriate.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

• A valid Gas Safe registration with the relevant domestic competencies.
• A Level 2 Plumbing qualification or higher.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Gas Engineer.
• Strong experience servicing, repairing and fault finding domestic boilers.
• Good knowledge of domestic heating systems.
• Previous plumbing maintenance experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to complete accurate and detailed job reports.
• A professional and presentable approach when dealing with customers.
• Flexibility around working hours when required.
• Recent employer references would be advantageous.
