Job summary

British Gas is seeking a skilled electrician to join our Field Engineering team to deliver safe, high‑quality electrical work in domestic properties. You will perform fault finding, installations, rewires, and provide first‑time fixes for customers.

With a minimum of two years’ experience and City & Guilds qualifications, you’ll work in a supportive, safety‑focused environment and have opportunities to train in Net Zero technologies as the role evolves.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a qualified electrician.
• City & Guilds 2365 Parts 1 & 2 with Level 3 Technical Certificate and NET AM2.
• City & Guilds 2382 – BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations.
• Proven experience in the electrical industry.
• City & Guilds 2391/52 or equivalent – highly desirable.
• Willingness to undertake Net Zero technologies training in the future.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repairs.
• Electrical installations and upgrades.
• Full and partial rewires.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and right first time.

Level 3 Technical Certificate (including NET AM2)
