Job summary

Cambian is seeking a reliable cleaner to join a busy educational and care setting. You will attend reliably, clean allocated areas, and use materials and equipment safely to protect young people.

The role requires keeping work areas secure and following safety procedures while contributing to a supportive team environment. You will work with young people and staff in a dynamic setting, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Use all equipment and materials in a safe way, make sure that students/residents do not get hold of harmful substances whilst you are using them.
• Ensure that all equipment is stored securely in the correct place after use.
• Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and that of others. This implies taking positive steps to understand the hazards in the workplace, to comply with safety rules and procedures to ensure that nothing you do, or fail to do, puts yourself or others at risk. This includes contributing to a safe and secure environment for students.
  Knowledge of methods of cleaning different surfaces
• Knowledge of safe working practice
• Experience using equipment and materials in situations where care is needed to prevent harm to others.
• Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with young people and staff whilst working within a busy environment.
  Salary of £11,560.32 per annum
