Job summary

Holmes Care Group in Scotland is seeking a Domestic Assistant to support our care homes, ensuring environments are clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors. You will work as part of a caring team to uphold high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

We welcome applicants with no prior experience but with the right attitude, a caring and compassionate nature and a willingness to learn, with ongoing training and development opportunities offered by Holmes Care Group.

• No formal qualifications required; right attitude, caring and compassionate nature, willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Keep homes clean, presentable and safe for residents and visitors
• Maintain high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout premises
• Clean resident rooms, communal and staff areas; toilets and bathrooms
• Dispose of refuse/waste and maintain bins
• Assist with laundry tasks
• Assist with dining room preparation for meals
• Develop positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors

What does the day of a Domestic Assistant look like?

• Our Domestic staff will ensure our homes are kept clean, presentable, and safe for residents and visitors:
• To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises
• To clean resident rooms, communal and staff areas as well as toilets and bathrooms
• Disposal of refuse/waste ensuring waste bins are maintained.
• Assist with laundry tasks.
• Assisting with dining room preparation for mealtimes
• Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and visitors by becoming an important member of the team
