Peterhouse, the oldest Cambridge College, invites applications for a part-time Domestic Assistant (25-30 hours per week) to clean and maintain designated rooms and common areas within the College or an associated College house.

The role includes a pro rata holiday entitlement to 25 days per annum, auto-enrolled pension after 3 months, Medicash, and lunch provided on duty when the kitchen is open. Closing date is 8.00am Monday 19th October 2026.

Domestic Assistant (25 - 30 hours per week)

Peterhouse, the oldest of the Cambridge Colleges, has exciting roles for Domestic Assistant, which we are seeking to fill.

To clean and provide a high quality housekeeping service for a designated set of rooms and common areas within the College or an associated College house (off-site houses are mainly in Parkside and Warkworth Street). Each area is overseen by a Domestic Supervisor who is a key point of contact to support the role.

The holiday entitlement is pro rata to 25 days per annum. The College offers an auto-enrolled pension scheme to eligible employees, after 3 months’ completed service. The scheme is the Cambridge Colleges Group Personal Pension Scheme (CCGPPS) with Aviva. The College offers Medicash a medical cashback scheme. Lunch is provided free of charge when on duty over lunchtime i.e. your working hours cover the official lunch period and when the College kitchens are open.
