Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Domestic Assistant at Neville Court in Kendray, Barnsley, for 20 hours per week with alternating weekends. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards and creating a welcoming home for residents and staff. Salary is £12.71 per hour with benefits and training provided.

The Domestic Team handles daily/weekly cleaning, laundry support, and use of cleaning equipment. No prior care sector experience required; induction and ongoing training are offered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all daily and weekly cleaning routines, including ad-hoc duties.
• Clean and tidy designated areas around the home including bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms and offices.
• Perform dusting, mopping, polishing and vacuuming.
• Use equipment such as carpet cleaning machines.
• Support with washing and drying laundry as required.
• Report breakages, damage, defects and hazards.
• Promote choice, dignity and independence among residents.

Do you take pride in your cleaning standards and attention to detail? As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll ensure that our home is clean and welcoming for the people who live and work here.

As part of our Domestic Team, you’ll carry out all daily and weekly cleaning routines, including dusting, mopping, polishing and vacuuming.

You’ll clean all areas in the home including people’s bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, kitchens and offices.

Our Domestic Assistants ensure that our home maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• carrying out all daily and weekly cleaning routines, as well as ad-hoc duties
