Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a part-time Domestic Assistant to join the friendly Facilities team at Canford Heath Community Clinic in Poole. 15 hours per week, 5pm–8pm Monday to Friday.

The role covers general cleaning across all areas, maintaining high standards, and supporting a busy community clinic. DBS check is required; training is provided and uniforms are supplied to all staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleaning standards across all areas of the site.
• Receive and action feedback from cleaning audits if required.
• Maintain cleaning product stock levels and liaise with the supervisor.
• Restock cleaning cupboards as needed.
• Ensure cleaning is maintained to the required standards.
• Observe correct work methods.
• Clean public waiting areas, reception, offices, kitchens and toilets.
• Damp dusting and polishing of furniture; clean walls and paintwork.
• Wash tiles and paintwork; clean lavatories and basins.
• Clean floors (hard and soft) and dispose of general waste.
• Clean surfaces and fittings in offices.

Job description

Dorset HealthCare are looking for a Domestic Assistant to join the friendly Facilities team, based at Canford Heath Community Clinic.

The role of the Domestic Assistant includes general cleaning duties of all areas within the site. You will be expected to clean to a high standard. We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our supportive team. Training is provided as part of your role as well as ongoing support within a team environment. All uniform is supplied.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

This role is a part time role of 15 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 3 hours per day. 5pm-8pm.

Canford Heath Community Clinic, Neighbourhood Centre, Culliford Crescent, Poole BH17 9DW.

• Maintaining cleaning standards using the recognised quality control procedures.
• Receiving and actioning feedback from cleaning audits on a monthly basis if required.
• To maintain cleaning product stock levels and liaise with the Community Clinic/Outside Unit Supervisor if more is required.
• Restock the cleaning cupboards in the Community Clinic if required.
• Ensuring that the cleaning is maintained to the required standards.
• Ensuring that the correct work methods are observed.
• Cleaning of all areas including public waiting areas and reception, offices, break areas, clinic rooms, kitchens and toilets.
• Damp dusting and polishing of all furniture.
• Dusting walls and cleaning paintwork
• Washing tiles and paintwork
