Job summary

Runwood Homes is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the support services team. Your role will focus on maintaining the cleanliness of designated areas within the care home to the highest standards, with responsibilities spanning housekeeping, laundry, bed-making, and ensuring residents’ rooms are tidy.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, prioritise tasks, and participate in ongoing training to support safe and efficient performance in your role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care or hospitality environment preferred.
• Able to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Willingness to learn and participate in training activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness standards in assigned areas of the care home.
• Carry out housekeeping duties efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Assist with laundry and ensure residents' rooms are clean and tidy.
• Make beds and prepare rooms as required.
• Be a proactive, flexible team player and participate in training.

Job description

As a Domestic Assistant, you will be a member of the support services team. Your main Domestic Assistant responsibilities will be to maintain the cleanliness of specific areas within the care home to the highest standards. This includes carrying out housekeeping duties efficiently and in a timely manner. Your daily tasks as a Domestic Assistant may involve working in the laundry, ensuring residents' rooms are clean and organised, and making beds when necessary. It is important to have good teamwork skills in this role.
