Randolph Hill Nursing Homes is seeking a Domestic Assistant for Fidra House in North Berwick, East Lothian. The role features early morning shifts with two possible end times and rotas set five weeks in advance, including alternating weekends.

You will support high cleanliness standards, manage cleaning materials efficiently, and uphold residents’ privacy and dignity while working as part of a respectful team.

Qualifications

At least 1 year experience working within a fast moving domestic or cleaning role.

Responsibilities

Follow housekeeping instructions laid down by the Manager/Nurse in charge.
Uphold residents’ rights to privacy, dignity and choice.
Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner and display warning signs as appropriate.
Report any damage to equipment, furnishings or fabric of the building to immediate superior.
Be familiar with and use appropriate chemicals in correct strengths as instructed and be economical in use.
Keep furniture and carpets clean and free of odours.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness to reflect the image of the company.
Dispose of waste materials and rubbish as instructed.
Report discrepancies in stock control and inform the Manager.
Report any injuries, disease or dangerous occurrences to staff.
Wear company uniform at all times on duty.
Wear and use protective clothing and equipment as directed.
Comply with all safe working policies and procedures.
Attend training and staff meetings as requested by the manager.
Familiarise with fire instructions/evacuation policies and company policy.
Read notices and adhere to them at all times.
Undertake any reasonable duties as directed by the manager/nurse in charge.

Job description

Randolph Hill are searching for a Domestic Assistant for our exceptional Fidra House Nursing Home in North Berwick, East Lothian. This post will have working hours of either 0800 – 1430 or 0800 - 1600. Rota's are completed 5 weeks in advance with alternate weekends on and off.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
