Job summary

NHS Scotland's Drumnadrochit Medical Practice is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the evening shift from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, Monday to Friday. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for patients and staff.

Experience is desirable but full training will be provided. The post supports coverage for colleagues on sickness and annual leave, with three domestic assistants in the team. This role is based in Drumnadrochit.

Job description

Drumnadrochit Medical Practice require a Domestic Assistant to join the team between 5.30pm-8pm Monday to Friday 9.6hrs/wk (9hrs 36mins/wk).

Duties include cleaning to a high standard to ensure a safe, clean, infection‑free and hygienic environment for the patients and staff who work in and visit the practice.

Previous experience is desirable, although full training will be provided. Domestic Assistants can be asked to provide cover for colleagues sickness and annual leave (3 domestics). We also have bank domestic assistants.

Additional Information For Candidates

• Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
