Overview

A service that is about much more than offering young people a roof over their head. It's about giving them a safe and inclusive home and help to achieve their potential, transition into independent living, and engage in employment or education.

You’ll act as a key worker to motivate and empower young people to gain independence and reach their full potential.

You’ll create support plans and help young people achieve their goals and independence, working collaboratively as part of a team who embrace differences.

Further enhance your relationship building and partnership working skills, by promoting your services and working closely with relevant local agencies such as the local authority, specialist charities, education and training providers, probation, social services, and housing provisions etc.

  • The ability to engage and build strong relationships with people.
  • A non‑judgemental mindset and an understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma.
  • A forward‑thinking and resilient attitude, to overcome the barriers and setbacks you will face.
  • A strong character who can remain calm and collected in challenging situations.
  • Experience in support work or housing, with an understanding of housing options, housing law and basic benefits.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
