Job Title: Domestic Abuse Support Worker
Head Office Location: Brindley Place, Birmingham
Job Location: Walsall
Salary: £13.16 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: Full Time (35 hours per week)

About the role

Provide support to children and families, male & female victims of domestic abuse within safe accommodation services in Walsall, travelling to other sites within the area.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients and carry out needs and risk assessments.
  • Produce and update individual support plans in partnership with clients.
  • Regularly assess risk and develop safety plans.
  • Work closely with local and national partner agencies.
  • Operate on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.
  • Deliver person‑centred, trauma‑informed support around domestic abuse, forced marriage, honour‑based violence and female genital mutilation.
  • Assist clients in maintaining tenancy and progressing towards the contribution pension scheme.
Qualifications & experience
  • Experience providing housing‑related support and/or working with victims of domestic abuse.
  • Ability to handle complex cases and produce monitoring information.
  • Strong organisational, proactive and initiative‑driven approach.
  • Flexible and able to prioritise effectively in a demanding workload.
  • Experience with safeguarding procedures and MARAC referrals.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
