Job summary

SOUTHERN DOMESTIC ABUSE SERVICE in Southampton is seeking a committed Dispersed Accommodation Support Worker to help reduce risk and minimise impact of domestic abuse by providing guidance and practical support to adults and children within dispersed accommodation. The role involves safety planning, empowering survivors to make positive choices, and occasional out-of-hours on-call duties as part of a rota.

An enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role.
• Post open to female applicants only as a genuine occupational requirement under Equality Act 2010.

Responsibilities

• Providing safety planning, support, advice and assistance to adults and children living in dispersed accommodation.
• Empowering victims and survivors to make positive choices.
• Participating in on-call out of hours rota.
• Appointment will be on merit.
