Domestic Abuse Practitioner – Newcastle – Immediate Start

Belmont Recruitment are looking for an experienced Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join a specialist service in Newcastle. This is a full‑time contract position, offering ongoing work with a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing specialist support to individuals affected by domestic abuse, including crisis intervention and safety planning.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of South Tyneside Safer Accommodation and Outreach Domestic Abuse Service.
  • Working in partnership with multi‑agency teams, including social services, housing, health professionals, and law enforcement.
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing personalised support plans.
  • Offering emotional and practical support to clients, helping them access appropriate resources and services.
  • Advocating for clients within safeguarding frameworks, ensuring their safety and well‑being.
Contract Details
  • Location: Newcastle
  • Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  • Duration: Ongoing contract
