Seddon Agency is looking to expand its operations and bring in new Security Operatives. The purpose of the role is to respond to incidents, carry out regular patrols, always provide a security presence and complete all security paperwork ensuring the safety of the client’s premises.

The job requires flexibility for 12 hour shifts and offers an immediate start. Duties may include controlling access to entrances and ensuring only authorised personnel are allowed to enter, keeping a log of all site activity, and completing all site security paperwork such as incident reports, sign in/out sheets, patrol logs, daily logs and handover sheets. Operatives will provide regular high profile external and internal patrols, secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment and access points, and permitting entry. The role also involves preventing incidents and damage by providing a visual presence and reporting all incidents to the authorities, as well as completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses and obtaining signatures.

Applicants must hold a valid SIA licence and include this in their application. Essential skills and experience include surveillance skills, judgment, objectivity, dependability, integrity, safety management, professionalism, reporting skills, communication, basic IT skills and previous experience.
