Stokenchurch Dog Rescue in Buckinghamshire is seeking a dedicated Dog Carer to join our team. You will care for rescued and abandoned dogs, support rehoming efforts, and help maintain a professional, caring image of the charity.

The role requires kennel experience, animal handling skills, and flexibility to cover weekends and on-call rota with 8:00–17:00 hours and 24-hour on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Understanding of animal care and behaviour.
• Previous experience of working in kennels essential – ideally within rescue & rehoming environment.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to providing quality care for rescued and abandoned dogs.
• Support activities to engage the public, donors, and partner organisations.
• Represent the charity in a professional and caring manner.
• Assist with initiatives directed by management or the Board of Trustees.
• Be an integral part of the SDR team of staff, management, Trustees, members and volunteers.

Location: Buckinghamshire. HP14 3TD

Salary: £26,436.80 per annum

Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on a two-week rolling rota. You will be required to participate in the provision of 24-hour cover on a rota basis.

Contract Type: Full time (permanent)

Keen to help maintain and increase the support for SDR’s activities with the general public, potential donors, other animal welfare organisations and other stakeholders.

Happy to help implement initiatives as directed by management or the Board of Trustees.

Enjoys acting as an integral part of the SDR team of staff, management, Trustees, members and volunteers.

Knowledge and Experience
