Job summary

Dogs Trust in Kenilworth is seeking a part-time Behaviour Officer (18.75 hours per week) to assess, design and implement behavioural rehabilitation for dogs joining our centres.

As the lead for assessments and training programmes, you will design Behaviour Modification Programmes, oversee colleagues, monitor progress and maintain detailed records to help dogs find a loving home.

Interviews will be provisionally booked for 09 November 2026 at our Kenilworth Rehoming Centre.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of dog behaviour and welfare.
• Experience writing and implementing training and behaviour modification programmes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle delicate situations.
• Passionate and committed to Dogs Trust.

Responsibilities

• Assess the behaviour of dogs before and during their stay to identify potential behaviour needs.
• Design and implement Behaviour Modification Programmes and training plans to enhance each dog’s chances of rehoming.
• Oversee and support the implementation of training and behaviour plans by colleagues.
• Monitor the progress of individual training and rehabilitation programmes and maintain detailed records.
