Document Production Operator - Daytime

Award-winning US law firm with exciting growth in their London office is seeking a daytime Document Production Operator on a full-time, permanent basis.

Salary to £60,000 + excellent employee benefits, including free breakfast & lunch! 09:30-17:30 (Monday-Friday) and hybrid working (4 days office / 1 day remote) City Thameslink / Blackfriars / Chancery Lane

This role provides legal secretarial and administrative support to lawyers in a variety of temporary assignments. The successful candidate will work closely with other Legal Secretaries and the Secretarial Manager, as well as supporting the firm’s daytime Document Production Department during periods of absence or excessively busy times.

Key Responsibilities of the Document Production Operator:
  • Producing and amending documents and correspondence from handwritten, dictated or printed material, often to tight work deadlines.
  • Printing, scanning, faxing, and copying documentation.
  • Deals promptly with telephone calls, directing enquiries and taking messages as appropriate.
  • Provides back-up telephone coverage and support for lawyers and secretaries within the pod.
  • Opens, sorts, and distributes mail as appropriate.
  • Liaises with internal support departments and the firm’s global offices, establishing and maintaining effective communications.
  • Performs other administrative or secretarial duties as necessary to assist the legal, secretarial, and the firm’s Document Production teams.
Skills & Requirements of the Document Production Operator:
  • 3-4 years Legal Secretary experience within a law firm is essential.
  • Excellent document skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, and competent in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possesses proficient spelling and grammar.
