Summary

The Document Control Coordinator (DCC) plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timely distribution of all project documentation. This position supports the delivery of utility‑scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects by maintaining robust document control processes and acting as the central point of contact for all documentation‑related matters. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders, including site teams, engineering, and project management. The role is based in London with the need to travel to site as and when needed.

Responsibilities
Overall Document Control Management
  • Establish and maintain a structured document control system for all project documentation.
  • Ensure documents are correctly named, version‑controlled, and stored in compliance with company and client standards.
  • Monitor document workflows to ensure timely approvals and distribution.
Engineering Documentation Coordination
  • Work closely with the Design & Engineering team to ensure technical documents reflect approved on‑site changes.
  • Upload revised drawings and specifications promptly and notify relevant stakeholders of updates.
  • Maintain visibility of all engineering documentation for site teams and project stakeholders.
On‑Site Documentation Support
  • Collect, verify, and organize site documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes and inspection and testing reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of documentation to the central project management system.
Audit & Compliance
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Support compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Reporting & Communication
  • Generate regular reports on document status, outstanding actions and compliance metrics.
  • Act as the primary liaison for document control queries between head office, site teams and external stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to Project Managers for documentation‑related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of document management systems and version‑control processes.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and document control platforms (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Solar PV and BESS projects is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
  • A passion for sustainability and environmental solutions.
  • Candidate must have the right to work in the UK without restrictions.
