Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business, deliver excellent service, and meet sales goals. You will use store systems, understand basic automotive parts, and participate in battery, wiper, and other DIY services.

The role may be part-time or full-time and requires the ability to work with customers, maintain inventory, and follow safety practices. Prior retail sales experience is valued, and Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; communication with customers, peers and management
• Read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and parts catalogs
• Basic math in all units and decimal calculations
• Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Part and automotive system knowledge skills
• Operating POS and Parts lookup systems
• Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service
