To ensure the Trust continues to maintain these high-quality services, the Trust is making a significant investment in the financial support and advice to the new divisional structure of five heads of divisional finance.

As an integral part of the divisional management team, you will play a critical role in shaping services within budget. We are seeking a dynamic Divisional Head of Finance to join our Senior Finance Team, leading the delivery of financial policy, performance, and value for money across our organisation. Working across all of our sites, Wexham, Frimley Park and Heatherwood, this pivotal role offers the opportunity to provide strategic vision, expert advice, and operational leadership, ensuring robust financial processes and controls that support modern, patient-focused services. Main duties of the job

The post holder is a senior Finance professional within Frimley Health. They will be expected to be a member of the Senior Finance Team and are responsible for leading and delivering financial policy, performance, and value for money requirements. The post holder will ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective business partner financial service.

The post holder will provide leadership, strategic and professional management combined with operational responsibility for the delivery of business partner financial services and advice working with the Associate Director of Finance, executive directors and other senior managers in the development and delivery of robust financial processes and controls, to oversee the provision of a modernised, patient focused service across Frimley Health by providing innovative, pro-active advice and support to the organisation on financial and service strategies and approaches.

The post holder will provide vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the overall financial, productivity, and efficiency plans.

This role provides direct support to the Associate Director of Finance in the delivery of the financial plan and will deputise in their absence where required.

Qualifications
  • CCAB (or equivalent) Qualified
  • ECDL
  • Educated to Master's Degree level or equivalent demonstrable level of work experience
Experience
  • Extensive experience, working at a senior level in a large complex organisation
  • Experience of delivering challenging financial plans including large Cost Reduction Programmes.
  • Experience of planning and implementing long-term strategy
  • Significant experience of working with staff, their representatives and trade unions/professional organisations
  • Knowledge and understanding of NHS policy and of key changes in the NHS
Skills & Knowledge
  • Understanding of the political agenda for Health and Social Care.
  • Proven track record of successfully introducing service improvement or successful management of significant organisational change in a complex environment
  • Ability to influence at all levels and a highly strategic thinker
  • Ability to analyse and appropriately present often highly complex information
  • Proven ability to achieve targets and objectives within a demanding and pressured environment against challenging deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a manner which is clear, fluent and persuasive
  • Knowledge of key national policy issues within services
