Job summary

Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is seeking a highly experienced Divisional Financial Controller to join our growing finance function. This senior role takes ownership of the divisional P&L and Balance Sheet, delivering accurate results and timely reporting to support commercial decision‑making.

You will lead the month‑end close, drive robust controls, develop a high‑performing team of Gross Margin Accountants and push improvements through automation and analytics across the division.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting and financial control background.
• Ability to lead month-end and financial reporting cycles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading the end-to-end month-end close.
• Reviewing trial balances, journals and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Reviewing performance against budget and the previous month.
• Overseeing revenue, WIP and direct-cost accruals.
• Producing the divisional results pack and supporting commentary.
• Ensuring Group accounting policies, controls and reporting standards are followed.
• Providing guidance on revenue recognition, provisions and other accounting judgements.
• Working with General Accounting, Group Reporting and the FP&A Centre of Excellence.
• Managing and developing a team of Gross Margin Accountants.
• Improving reporting through automation, AI and advanced analytics.
