Lookers Ltd. is seeking a Division Assistant Accountant to support the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager in daily financial operations. You will analyse financial performance, ensure transactional accuracy, and assist with month-end close for allocated dealerships within the division.

The role requires accounting discipline knowledge, a proactive attitude, and experience with Excel and dealer management systems. DOE salary and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• A good understanding of the relevant accounting disciplines.
• Track record of good performance in a commercial finance environment.
• An Accountancy qualification or working towards is advantageous, but not essential: ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent body).
• Expert proficiency in MS Excel and strong working knowledge of the Motor Industry and Dealer Management systems.
• Consistently demonstrates Lookers values.

Responsibilities

• The Division Assistant Accountant will provide essential support to the Division Accountant and Senior Accounting Manager in managing the daily financial operations of the Division.
• The focus of this position is to analyse the financial performance of the Division, ensure the accuracy and integrity of all transactional accounting and assist with the month-end close.
• The role holder will be responsible for allocated dealerships within division.
