Job summary

GLL is recruiting a Diving Coach for Manchester Aquatics Centre. You will deliver high-quality diving sessions to children through to adults, while maintaining a welcoming service and a professional poolside presence.

The role requires a Level 1 Diving Coach certificate and knowledge of SEQ/ASA/STA awards, with the ability to adapt to various abilities and ages. Competitive hourly pay and staff benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver high-quality sessions to varied ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming, professional poolside service and image.
• Ensure safety and control of pupils in diving lessons and comply with regulations.
• Encourage pupils to enrol in further courses and support enrollments.
• Follow safeguarding and behaviour policies for diving sessions.
• Record relevant awards and ensure levels are achieved.
• Teach to the standard set in the product manual for consistency.

Role: Diving coach

Location: Manchester Aquatics Centre

Salary: up to £15.26 per hour

GLL is looking for a Diving Coach at Manchester Aquatics Centre. We're managing more sports and leisure centres than ever before making us the UK's largest leisure operator. You will need to have a minimum Level 1 Certificate for this Diving Coach opportunity and understand the SEQ/ASA/STA Diving Awards and British Diving skills techniques; this will ensure that you can comfortably deliver high-quality sessions at a variety of levels, abilities and age groups from children through to experienced adults.

What you will do:

• Maintain a good and positive image of the Centre to customers and the public generally by providing a welcoming, helpful and professional poolside service.
• Comply with the commitments outlined in the ‘Customer Charter’, ensuring that standards are maintained as stipulated.
• Ensure the safety and control of the pupils within the diving lesson and to ensure that all relevant regulations applicable to the centres operation are enforced and complied with.
• Actively encourage pupils to enrol on further courses and short courses.
• Assist with new-enrolments and re-enrolments as required by the General Manager.
• Understand and follow the Safeguarding Policy and Procedure & Behaviour policy contained within the Diving School product.
• Record and complete relevant awards in line with expected standards, ensuring that the levels are obtained
• Teach to the standard set within the product manual to ensure a consistent approach throughout all the centres.
