A Scottish Charitable Organisation in Belfast is seeking a Dive Coach to assist with teaching functions and customer service in aquatics programmes. The ideal candidate should possess Scottish Swimming Coaching Qualification or equivalent and a UKCC Level 1 Diving qualification. This position requires planning activity sessions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. The role involves flexible hours and is subject to background checks.
Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC. It was established by Dundee City Council in July to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city. Working as a Dive Coach on a casual basis, you may be required to work across Active Dundee sites, but Olympia will be your base. Candidates will operate a full range of Learn to Dive skills which may include dry side skills. To assist the Aquatics Development Manager and Aquatic Lessons Coordinator with delivering the full range of teaching functions and customer service requirements relating to Leisure and Culture Dundee's involvement in schools and the City-wide aquatics programmes
You will have experience of planning structured activity / sports sessions, as well as excellent communication skills to work within a team and have the ability to organise sessions and time effectively. You will be approachable, reliable, and have the ability to motivate others. You will be required to follow Health & Safety guidelines, Safe Systems of Work and complete Daily registers for participants along with continual assessments. You must be willing to develop your coaching skills whilst working with all ages & abilities. The ability to work flexible hours at citywide centres and a willingness to undertake training opportunities for purposes of both personal and service development are essential for this post. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and / or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior work being offered by Leisure & Culture Dundee.
