Job summary

People Group Limited seeks a District Plant Engineer (Multi-Skilled) to operate and maintain Coventry district-energy assets, covering steam-to-water interfaces, MTHW networks and customer substations. You will work across mechanical, electrical, controls and instrumentation, providing first-line response and maintaining CMMS records.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Hands-on maintenance and fault-finding experience in energy/utilities/critical infrastructure.
• Experience working safely across discipline boundaries with CMMS experience.
• Full UK driving licence and on-call availability in Coventry.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Coventry energy centres and associated equipment within operational boundaries.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance via CMMS, following instructions and safety controls.
• Diagnose faults using drawings, schematics and test instruments; implement effective repairs.
• Respond to loss of supply or faults; stabilise system and escalate when needed.
• Support commissioning, handover and documentation for assets and changes.
• Exercise stop-work authority when safety or compliance is at risk.
