About The Role
What will I be doing?

As a Logistics Distribution Planner at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to a growing waste management company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

  • Within this role you will collaborate with colleagues in other SUEZ Departments throughout the UK to control the Logistics of mixed materials to our end markets and deliver continued improvements to service and cost reductions in the haulage operations.
  • Being the first point of contact for haulage customers within a region.
  • You will source and implement cost effective haulage solutions, liaise with external haulier and arrange haulier contracts.
  • You will ensure haulier compliance to the contracts, obtaining prices, negotiating and market testing of work.
  • The production of budgets, the monitoring of the financial performance of the region and monitoring the haulage business through the production and analysis of data are also key elements of the role.
  • Working as part of a wider team covering the UK, you have confidence communicating at all levels both verbal and written.
What are the requirements?
  • You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of material stocks and waste flows, ensuring smooth service delivery in accordance with the customers’ requirements.
  • You will have an excellent level of administrative attention to detail to be able to ensure that accurate data is collected onto the system and an analytical approach to problem solving is requisite.
  • You will demonstrate the ability to find creative solutions to the Logistics requirements of our customers.
  • An in depth knowledge of waste / recycling would be an advantage however experience in the Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Shipping industry, particularly in relation to bulk haulage and configurations of vehicles and trailer types, is needed.
  • A friendly, door is always open manner is paramount as well as good numerical, commercial and IT skills.
