Job summary

poltronesofà is hiring a Distribution Centre Operative to join our Seaham Distribution Centre. You will become part of a friendly team focused on getting customer orders to their homes in showroom condition.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, processing orders, preparing outbound deliveries and maintaining warehouse safety and cleanliness. A physical role with a strong emphasis on teamwork and accuracy.

What’s the opportunity?

As part of the distribution team, you’ll work with a great bunch of people with one simple aim…to get our customer’s orders to them by managing the stock in and out of the warehouse and making sure it’ll be in showroom condition when it’s placed in our customer’s homes.

What does the role involve?

• Work with the delivery teams to load and unload furniture onto our modern fleet of vehicles
• Processing orders on our in-house systems
• Prepare outbound orders for delivery to customer’s homes
• Assist with the moving, handling and storage of furniture and carpets within the warehouse
• Undertake quality inspections when needed, identifying any issues and working with the right teams to make sure the goods are delivered to customers homes in the best condition
• Working in the distribution centre to make sure it’s clean and tidy
• Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times
