Job summary

Levy Global in London is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to a high-performance computing platform that runs large-scale distributed workloads. You will help design, build and operate software powering hybrid cloud environments, with a focus on reliability and scalability.

The role emphasizes concurrency, performance optimisation and production-grade backend development, with experience in Go (preferred) or Rust/C++.

Qualifications

• Go is preferred; strong experience with Rust or C++ is advantageous.
• Experience designing or building distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, scalability and performance.
• Experience developing production-grade backend software.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native applications.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software for a high-performance computing platform.
• Build new platform capabilities to support large-scale distributed workloads.
• Extend the platform into AWS, enabling hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
• Improve platform scalability to support up to one million concurrent tasks.
• Develop tooling to simplify platform management, deployment and operational processes.
• Enhance deployment automation, logging, monitoring and access controls.
• Deliver well-tested, production-ready software following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with engineers through technical design discussions, code reviews and Agile delivery.
