Job summary

Albert Bow Limited is seeking an engineer to join its high-growth AI infrastructure team in London. The role involves designing and implementing distributed systems to store, index, query and process massive multimodal data, from architecture through deployment and monitoring.

You will own projects end-to-end, tackle performance bottlenecks, and drive scalable, reliable systems across storage, APIs and protocols. The position is on-site with a 4+ day per week requirement.

Qualifications

• Strong production experience with Python or TypeScript
• Experience with statically typed languages such as Go, Rust, C++, or Java
• Proven experience building and owning distributed systems in production
• Deep knowledge of databases, replication, queues, caching and consistency
• Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms and CS fundamentals
• Experience taking systems through design, development, deployment, monitoring and optimisation
• Strong understanding of system performance and failure modes
• Able to work autonomously on ambiguous, technically complex problems

This is a role for engineers who enjoy solving difficult problems around scale, performance, reliability and distributed systems.

You’ll have significant ownership, taking projects from architecture and design through to implementation, deployment, monitoring and optimisation.
