The Black Swan Group are currently partnered with a Distressed Bank Loan Debt Hedge Fund based in London. Looking for Distressed Loan and Operations Associate with 4 to 7 years’ experience, within a buy side firm, and looking to move to growing hedge fund in London.

The firm has seen impressive, annualised returns since inception, and currently embarking on a strategic growth period, with appetite to increase AuM and building a best-in-class Distressed Debt and Credit Trading Operations infrastructure and partnering with the front office Distressed / Credit PMs who the team sit with and support daily.

• Currently working with Senior Management at the fund, to hire a Distressed Banks Loans Operations Associate to work directly with the Credit PMs in the London business.

• This is a unique and high-profile opportunity to work directly and in person, (same floor) as the PMs and business, to manage a wide-ranging role and responsibilities.

• Expertise in Banking Loans, Distressed Loans, front to back trading operations, with forte in managing all loans trade life cycle including exposure to distressed loan settlements, processing corporate actions, loans closing, documentation and stakeholder management.

Desirable that Distressed Loans Operations has been involved in the full Trade Life Cycle Distressed Loan Corporate Actions, processing them, completing the docs, and dealing with agents.

*Distressed Loan Administration and life cycle events including Corporate Actions.

Given the significant inflows of new AuM and building out Distressed Loans Trading business, enhancing the operations infrastructure is crucial for the London business, along with trading exposure to other alternatives.

Given the nature to partner and work hand and glove with the business, this role will be business facing and the firm operate a business facing working model, 5 days in the London Office (based in the West End). The business is looking for someone that is committed and comfortable being in the office and supporting the growth plans of the business, whilst getting exposure and rewarded for supporting a fast and growing business with entrepreneurial drive and presence.

***Prerequisite Requirements for Distressed Loans / Private Credit Operations Specialist ~

• 4 to 7 years Distressed Loans Buy Side – Hedge Fund Operations experience - prerequisite.

• Distressed Bank Loan Operations, Bank Loans Settlements, Corporate Actions, processing them, completing the docs, and dealing with agents.

• 5 Days in the office working model, directly sat with the PMs, Traders and C-Suite, committed to working in a hedge fund, that has a business facing and leading working environment.

*Expertise in charge of all Bank Loan portfolios, managing Distressed Loans, and getting exposure to Fixed Income, and other Alternative products, including Credit Derivatives.

*Life Cycle expertise, processing Bank Loan Corp Actions and communication with clients and counterparties.

*Working on new project initiatives to build operations infrastructure, including onboarding new PMS/OMS Systems, building an Operations team, cross training setting up new vendors and 3rd party vendors, so prior experience working on and delivering project initiatives is required.
