Location: Home based (With occasional travel to nearby regions)

Salary: £45,000- £49,000

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Our housing client are looking for a motivated Disrepair Surveyor to join the team and play a vital role in supporting residents and improving the homes they manage. You'll be part of a dedicated property team, working flexibly across the region to assess, diagnose and help resolve some of our most complex property challenges.

What you'll be doing
  • Carrying out detailed property inspections with a focus on disrepair, damp, and mould
  • Accurately diagnosing building defects and damp issues using building pathology expertise
  • Specifying and managing works delivered by our DLO and external contractors, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality standards
  • Supporting our Response Surveyors with in-depth damp investigations and technical advice
  • Providing training and support to colleagues to raise awareness of disrepair and damp-related issues
  • Managing customer complaints with professionalism and empathy
About you
  • A relevant technical qualification (HNC or higher) in Building, Surveying, damp remediation or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of Disrepair legislation, HHSRS assessments
  • Strong knowledge of building pathology, particularly related to damp and mould
  • Skilled in using MS Word and surveying software/tools
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to travel across our operating region
