• 3+ years PQE within a Dispute Resolution firm/department.

Responsibilities

• Act on behalf of clients in the resolution of contentious issues, including hearings in Sheriff Courts and the Court of Session.
• Provide advocacy in tribunals, arbitration and mediation.
• Take statements, attend consultations, draft pleadings, instruct expert witnesses, prepare cases for proofs/debates.
• Actively participate in business development opportunities.
• Work collaboratively and flexibly with other team members.
• Collaborate with experts and instruct counsel as required.

Dispute Resolution Solicitor (3+ years PQE)

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh, City Centre
Working hours: 35 hours Monday Friday 09:00 17:00
Jones Whyte's Dispute Resolution team handles some of Scotland's most complex commercial litigation, from high-value contract disputes to contentious property and employment matters. The Role

As a Solicitor in our Dispute Resolution department, we will require you to manage a varied caseload of commercial disputes and to represent clients in courts across Scotland. The ideal candidate will be client focused and proactive with a positive attitude and flexible approach. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication and technical skills.
