A multi-disciplinary law firm in the UK is seeking an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor to manage diverse disputes and provide strategic legal advice. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of PQE, with a focus on litigation, and enjoy building client relationships. Qualifications

  • Solicitors/Legal Executives with significant knowledge of County Court and/or High Court litigation.
  • Experience in commercial landlord and tenant disputes and construction disputes.
  • Strong understanding of contentious trusts and probate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of dispute resolution matters from instruction to resolution.
  • Advise clients on a wide range of disputes.
  • Draft and negotiate legal documents and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and mediations.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice.

Dispute Resolution Solicitor

Red Recruitment is looking for an experienced, qualified lawyer to join our client, an award-winning multi‑disciplinary law firm, as part of their growing Dispute Resolution department.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide variety of disputes, including litigation, commercial litigation, commercial property litigation, property litigation, contentious trusts and probate and construction disputes. There would be scope to specialise in one or more of those areas as you develop with the business.

Key Responsibilities of a Dispute Resolution Solicitor
  • Manage a varied caseload of dispute resolution matters from instruction through to resolution, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Advise clients on a wide range of disputes.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in County Court and High Court proceedings, as well as mediations and other dispute resolution forums.
  • Conduct legal research and provide clear, strategic advice to clients on the merits, risks, and potential outcomes of disputes.
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, and third parties to progress matters efficiently and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Supervise and support junior team members where appropriate, fostering knowledge‑sharing and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies, risk management procedures, and professional standards.
  • Play an active role in the continued growth and development of the Dispute Resolution Department.
Key Skills & Experience of a Dispute Resolution Solicitor

Experience: Applications are encouraged from Solicitors/Legal Executives of around 5 or more years PQE or equivalent experience (working as a case handling paralegal in dispute resolution pre‑qualification would be included).

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have significant knowledge and experience of litigation within the County Courts and/or the High Court.
  • Have experience in some or all of the following areas:
    • Commercial landlord and tenant disputes
    • Commercial litigation, including JVA disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes
    • Disputes concerning easements/restrictive covenants, including injunctive proceedings, boundary disputes, adverse possession and property damage claims
    • Residential possession claims
    • Contentious trusts and probate disputes
    • Construction disputes
