Job summary

Montu UK is seeking a qualified dispensing pharmacist to join our focused team on a part-time basis (2 days / 16 hours per week). Saturday shifts are a must, with weekday hours negotiable.

The role offers a pro rata salary of £60,000 and a fast-paced environment centred on patient safety. You will supervise dispensing of controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis, ensure regulatory compliance, provide patient counselling, and support a high-standard pharmacy operation.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified, registered Pharmacist with a valid GPhC number.
• CPD-accredited medical cannabis education preferred (training provided if necessary).
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Clinically check prescriptions for controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis.
• Ensure timely availability and dispatch of medicines for patients.
• Comply with regulatory requirements for ordering, receiving, storing, and dispensing medicines.
• Maintain accurate records in line with GPhC standards.
• Provide patient counselling on the safe use of medicines, including specialised equipment.
• Offer guidance to prescribers to minimise supply disruptions.
• Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, maintaining security and supervising pharmacy staff.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to manage safe prescribing practices.
• Maintain electronic health records and implement regulatory changes.
• Support governance and operational teams to ensure GPhC and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to the efficient running of pharmacy services through stock monitoring and audits.
