Job summary

Inspired Selections Group is partnering with a specialist independent optician in Peterborough to recruit an experienced Dispensing Optician. You’ll take ownership of the optical side of the business and join the management team, shaping processes and guiding patient care.

The role offers £35,000–£38,000 (DOE), Monday to Friday with no weekends, 21 days holiday with BHs potential, GOC fees paid, and genuine autonomy to influence the practice’s direction within a friendly, close-knit team.

Qualifications

• GOC registered Dispensing Optician with independent practice experience
• Experience leading and supporting a small team
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to shape processes and influence department direction
• Ambition for long-term stability in specialist independent practice

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a team of three Optical Assistants
• Review and verify spectacle orders
• Resolve complex optical queries
• Provide expert dispensing and patient advice
• Maintain excellent customer relationships and develop the practice’s optical offering
• Collaborate with wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
