Job summary

Boots Opticians is seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician to deliver high-quality customer care and expert advice in-store. You will provide clinical support for regulated dispensing and help customers choose eyewear that best fits their needs.

Join a team focused on exceptional service and compliance, reporting to the Store Manager. This role emphasizes ongoing CPD development and leveraging new technologies to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Completion of CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
• Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service.
• Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice.
• Helping our customers to choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure our customers receive the best product suited to their needs.
• Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure that the business trades legally.
• Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
• Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.
