Job summary

Boots Opticians in the UK is seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician to provide expert eyewear advice and exceptional customer care in-store. You will work under the Store Manager and support the Optical team with clinical dispensing and product guidance.

As a GOC-registered professional, you will keep up with CPD requirements, embrace new technologies, and help customers choose eyewear that fits their needs while ensuring compliant operating standards.

Qualifications

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• CPD training completed as part of GOC requirements.

What you'll be doing

As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
• Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service.
• Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice.
• Helping our customers to choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure our customers receive the best product suited to their needs.
• Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure that the business trades legally.
• Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
• Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.
