Job summary

Specsavers Newport Pagnall is seeking a Dispensing Optician to join a friendly, ambitious team. You will contribute to exceptional customer service on the shopfloor and support clinical and retail colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.

Ideally you hold a BSc (HONS) in Ophthalmic Dispensing, with strong listening and communication skills and a passion for high‑quality eyewear and hearing care. A collaborative, customer‑focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc (HONS) in Ophthalmic Dispensing is required or strongly preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• A passion for delivering top‑notch customer service and working well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support shopfloor operations and ensure smooth store running.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and ophthalmic care.
• Collaborate with clinicians and retail teams to assist customers.

We do need you to have a few skills to get started in this role.

Firstly, you’ll need a BSc (HONS) in Ophthalmic Dispensing and an excellent understanding of both the optics and audiology customer journeys. You must have excellent listening and communication skills, be passionate about providing top-notch customer service, and be a great team worker.
