Job summary

Boots UK is seeking an on‑site Dispenser to support pharmacists in delivering frontline pharmacy services within our stores across selected London locations. The role focuses on accurate prescription dispensing, patient counseling, and adherence to SOPs to ensure safe, effective care.

The ideal candidate has NVQ2 (or equivalent) or is progressing through the first year of an MPharm and holds valid UK right to work. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines.

Job description

Overview

The hourly rate for this role is £13.92 and up to £16.64 across selected locations within London. As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. This is a on‑site position within the UK; remote or overseas applicants will not be considered unless they can confirm relevant UK qualifications and right to work.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions).
• Assist other healthcare professionals in managing and delivering pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions effectively, promoting adherence and reducing waste.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in community pharmacy.
