Job Summary

SDH Developments Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, provides pharmacy services to patients and visitors attending the Outpatients Department at Torbay Hospital. We are now looking for a Dispensary Operations Manager who is already a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join our team.

Main duties of the job

• Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Outpatients pharmacy at Torbay Hospital, reporting directly to the Superintendent Pharmacist.
• Organisation of staffing rotas, leading, motivating and guiding the dispensary team to ensure operational tasks are completed and support delivery of first-class patient service.
• Line management of the dispensary team, deputising for the Superintendent at meetings if necessary.
• Undertake a final accuracy check on prescriptions to support the checking rota.
