A leading low carbon fuels provider is seeking a Dispatcher and Fleet Maintenance Co‑Ordinator based in Greater London. This role involves managing HGV deliveries, coordinating fleet maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations across the UK and Europe. Ideal candidates should have a background in transport or logistics, excellent organisational and communication skills, and be capable of handling unexpected challenges. Familiarity with LNG properties and experience with telematics is advantageous. Flexible work hours may apply.
Founded with a vision to decarbonise heavy transport across Europe, our low carbon fuels including BioLNG and BioCNG are the answer. We offer a market leading 99%+ station availability, a comprehensive network of refuelling stations covering road and inland waterways and 24/7 expert in‑house technical assistance.
From a reliable and comprehensive network of stations with a range of fuels, to your own filling stations at locations that suit you. We have flexible solutions to address any challenges you face.
This is a dynamic, hands‑on position where no two days are the same. You’ll be at the heart of our fuel supply chain— managing suppliers, coordinating HGV deliveries to fuel stations primarily in the UK, but also Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, while also ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest safety and compliance standards.
The position requires strong organisational skills to balance delivery scheduling with proactive fleet management, ensuring vehicle compliance, availability, and operational efficiency.
Plan, control, and monitor all HGV deliveries and transport activities to fuel stations, considering delivery deadlines, legal driver hours, route optimisation, and priority management and working with international teams in the process.
Maintain continuous communication with transport companies, workshops, and suppliers to ensure smooth operational performance. Take swift, solution‑oriented action to address delivery delays, breakdowns, or urgent maintenance needs. It is here where fluent German for both conversation, written communication and IT systems is essential.
Monitor LNG stock levels at filling stations and make proactive changes to the delivery schedule to prevent shortages, ensuring consistent supply security.
Manage the full R&M schedule for trucks and trailers, including preventative maintenance, MOT scheduling, and unplanned repairs. Liaise with maintenance providers to minimise downtime and ensure all vehicles meet safety and legal compliance standards.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, maintenance logs, and all relevant communications. Prepare reports, performance metrics, and maintenance analyses to drive continuous improvement.
Analyse delivery and fleet performance data to identify trends, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency in logistics and maintenance operations.
Ensure compliance with country specific (UK, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium) transport regulations, hazardous goods handling legislation, environmental policies, and HGV fleet safety standards. Support audit processes and emergency response planning as well as driving times and rest periods from country specific fleets.
Work closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, and Workshop teams to optimise supply chain and fleet performance, integrating new systems or processes where beneficial.
This role demands flexibility, adaptability, and to operate under pressure. Balancing strict delivery schedules with the need for driver/vehicle safety and compliance is essential. The transportation of hazardous goods requires a meticulous approach. Unexpected challenges such as vehicle breakdowns, supply chain interruptions, or severe weather must be managed quickly, with effective prioritisation and decision‑making.
