As our Butchery Intake & Dispatch Team Manager, you’ll help shape Riverford’s future. Though better known for our veg, Riverford has its own butchery and delivers organic meat to homes across the country. Riverford meat is organic, British, meticulously sourced, properly hung and carefully butchered for the very best quality and flavour. We have seen continuing growth in our meat sales and are looking for a Team Manager to join our busy Intake & Dispatch team.

This is both the first and final process in our Butchery which involves the booking in of deliveries and the sealing, weighing, labelling, and ensuring that all loads leave the Butchery at the appointed times with no delays to the Transport Company. You will have a genuine interest in working with great quality meat as our meat is locally sourced and organic, giving you a great opportunity to work with a quality product in a company that takes pride in the skills of its co‑owners and in providing customers with the best possible product.

This is a key position involving the managing, motivating and inspiring the packing team. To be successful in this role you will need to have a real empathy with our brand, be passionate about organic meat and have a real understanding about what our customers want.

Salary: £35,543 per annum.

Location: Riverford Butchery, Dean Court, Lower Dean, TQ11 0LT – Reliable transportation is required to commute to the Butchery, as it is not accessible by public transport routes.

Hours: 40 hours a week, Sunday to Thursday. Earliest start time 6.00 and latest finish 16.00. We need you to be flexible to work overtime during busy periods e.g. in the run‑up to Christmas.
