Purpose of the role

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispatch team, ensuring efficient and timely coordination of engineers/partners. This role involves managing dispatch staff, optimising dispatch procedures, and maintaining effective communication with engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the dispatch team, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance to ensure high levels of productivity and morale.
  • Oversee the dispatching of engineers/partners, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and in accordance with company policies and client requirements.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between dispatchers, engineers’ clients, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and address any issues promptly.
  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Address and resolve operational challenges, including emergencies and delays, by coordinating with relevant personnel and deploying appropriate resources.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of dispatch activities, quality assurance, and other relevant information for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for dispatch employees to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Salary

£27,852+ a discretionary bonus based on successful achievement of monthly KPI’s.

The Individual
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, or a similar role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology.
  • Analytical skills to assess performance metrics and implement improvements.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.

Office‑based with occasional travel to field locations as needed.

Full‑time hours working Monday – Sunday (unsociable hours)

Regular interaction with engineer, clients, and other team members via phone, email, and two‑way text.
