Overview

Dispatch Operative | Appley Bridge | Permanent
£26,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

KPI Recruiting have partnered with a long-standing client who are looking to expand their warehouse department by recruiting an experienced Dispatch Operative.

Please note, due to occasional local travel to pick up/drop off stock, this role requires a full UK Driving Licence – please only apply if applicable.

Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Management:
    • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and adheres to health and safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular stocktakes and inventory counts to maintain accurate records.
    • Investigate stock anomalies and discrepancies, updating Sage 200 with accurate stock information.
    • Assist with goods received from suppliers, ensuring they are checked against paperwork, labelled correctly, and placed in designated stock locations.
    • Book in diving suits for repairs sent in by customers.
  • Picking, Packing & Shipping:
    • Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipment of goods from the warehouse to UK and international destinations.
    • Pack products suitably for shipping using couriers such as DHL, FedEx, Parcel Force, DPD, UPS, and Royal Mail; arrange collections and deliveries.
    • Ensure correct goods are picked and dispatched to the appropriate customers, complying with all legal requirements.
    • Pay attention to detail to ensure goods are picked, dispatched, and sent with the correct paperwork and labels.
Skills & Experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • Ability to handle and move goods manually, following safe manual handling procedures.
  • Experience using Forklift Trucks (FLT) and other warehouse machinery (desirable).
  • Proficient in Excel and Word (training provided on in-house systems).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
