Job summary

A community support organization based in Leytonstone is seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide day-to-day assistance for individuals with disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will ensure the well-being of clients while supporting their participation in various activities. The role requires NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, alongside strong communication and positive behaviour support skills. Flexibility and teamwork are essential to meet the diverse needs of all clients in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

  • NVQ2 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualifications.
  • GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths is required.
  • First Aid qualification is necessary.
  • Experience in supporting adults with disabilities is essential.
  • Experience delivering training activities for adults with disabilities is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate appropriately with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to provide positive support to clients.
  • Ability to work independently responding to client needs.
  • Good IT skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support to clients throughout the day.
  • Assist clients in participating in activities to achieve their goals.
  • Provide active support according to clients' individual plans.
  • Assist with activity planning and risk assessments.
  • Lead activities on site and in the community.
